MITSUBISHI TNMA 160420 MC5005 Triangle Negative Insert World's thickest Al2O3 layer provides wear resistance greater than a ceramic insert. MC5005 should be applied when machining cast irons at high cutting speeds. Features new substrate and Mitsubishi's TOUGH-GRIP adhesion layer. The newly developed TOUGH-GRIP interlayer takes advantage of a controlled crystalline, nano-scale, structure to prevent spalling of the Al2O3 layer. The Nano-Texture coating has an extremely fine structure which provides superior wear resistance when machining cast iron. New chipbreakers balance cutting efficiency and edge toughness for greater productivity.
