Pferd Polinox® Convolute Wheel, 6" X 1/2 X 1, Fine, Medium-Hard, 8Sf, Silicon Carbide

POLINOX® convolute wheels produce matte surface finishes. POLINOX® convolute wheels are made of spiral-shaped, non-woven abrasive which is wound around a core and foamed up. The foam supports the non-woven component and positively impacts its service life and abrasive performance. This particular bond results in non-woven wheels with a very good surface finish, high stock removal rate and long service life. These properties are particularly apparent when deburring, blending, finishing and polishing soft metals, alloyed and high-alloy steels, in addition to titanium alloys. The wheels can be used on stationary machines and bench grinders, as well as portable power tools like straight grinders. Dressing the wheels allows them to adapt to different workpiece geometries. Medium-hard version with increased edge strength and extended service life, for tough deburring and cleaning applications.
